If you own a home in Denver or the surrounding area in Colorado, an energy audit with e3 Power is the first step on the path toward:
- INCREASED INDOOR COMFORT
- HIGHER ENERGY EFFICIENCY
- LOWER HEATING AND COOLING COSTS
- HEALTHIER INDOOR AIR QUALITY
During our home energy audits, e3 Power uses a variety of high-tech, state-of-the-art tools and instruments to identify the key areas where your home is wasting energy, including blower doors and infrared cameras.
Included in our audit reports are our recommendations for the most cost-effective products or services that will improve your home’s energy efficiency, comfort, and indoor air quality.
WHY ENERGY AUDITS ARE SO IMPORTANT
Many homeowners wonder if energy audits are worth it, and some decide to skip an audit and go straight to making home improvements themselves. At e3 Power, we’ve seen plenty of instances in which what first looked like an easy fix turned out to be more complex, and the homeowner wasted time and money on services that could have been avoided if an energy audit had been completed first.
An energy audit for your Denver home gives you real insight into its energy use, so you can uncover the actual problem and find the right solution. To learn more about the impact energy audits can have on your home, read through our blogs.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A HOME ENERGY AUDIT FROM e3 POWER
Our approach when conducting home energy audits is to take a comprehensive, whole-house assessment of the home, which distinguishes our whole-house infrared energy audits from the free “clipboard audits” offered by many utilities, box stores, and companies that offer discounted home energy audits as a means to sell products or services.
Our infrared energy audits include:
- An interview with the homeowner where we learn more about the concerns and issues you have with your house
- Data collection on the specifics of your home
- Safety testing of all appliances that use fossil fuels
- Blower door testing to measure air leakage
- Photos taken with an infrared camera during blower door testing (our basic report option includes a few infrared photos, while the detailed report upgrade includes a whole separate infrared report)
- A Snugg Pro report which provides energy modeling and suggestions to make your home more comfortable and safer (our basic and detailed reports both include savings and investment ratios for all of our suggestions)
The audit takes about 3-4 hours, and the report will be delivered between 7-10 business days after the audit. Learn how to prepare for your energy audit here or contact us to get started.
WHY e3 POWER HOME ENERGY AUDITS ARE BETTER
What sets e3 Power apart from the other Colorado companies offering energy audit services near you?
- OUR INDEPENDENCE
e3 Power doesn’t offer any of the home performance services that most other energy audit contractors do. With our team, you’re getting a truly independent, unbiased home analysis.
Too often, subpar contractors use energy audits as a sales tactic to upsell you on services you don’t actually need. At e3 Power, you can trust that if we recommend adding more attic insulation or sealing your ducts, we actually believe the upgrades are in your best interest. We do not sell or install products, and we do not receive referral fees from any contractor we might recommend.
- OUR BUILDING SCIENCE EXPERTISE
We take pride in the long list of certifications and training our team has! From the Building Performance Institute to RESNET, PHIUS, ENERGY STAR®, and much more, the auditors at e3 Power are true building scientists who know what they’re talking about when it comes to home performance.
- OUR EXPERIENCE
Over the years, our team has conducted more than 1,500 energy audits, 5,000 blower door tests, and 500 duct blast tests throughout Colorado. We know the unique ways in which the local climate can affect homes, and we can help you uncover the underlying issues in your home quickly and professionally.
